Arraignments and Bail

Bail is set by the judge at the arraignment.   The arraignment is usually done within 24 hours of the arrest.  An attorney can have a significant input on the outcome of the bail.  There are many different outcomes that can arise from an arraignment.

* The defendant can be released with out bail, "ROR'd" or paroled with out bail.

*  The judge can set a bail to be posted in cash only, cash or bond, or fully secured bond.

* The defendant can be remanded where no bail amount would secure their release.
